The focus is creating a better experience specifically for Zhihu users on these folding devices.

Reading articles, answers, and discussions on a large foldable screen presents unique challenges. Text might not flow correctly. Images might not display properly. Switching between the phone’s folded and unfolded states can sometimes disrupt the reading experience. Samsung and Zhihu engineers are tackling these issues together.
The optimized Zhihu app for Galaxy Z Fold devices will adjust text flow automatically. It will make the best use of the larger screen area when unfolded. Images and videos will resize correctly. The app will also manage the transition between screen sizes much more smoothly. This means users can open or close their phone without losing their place or interrupting their reading.

This work directly addresses feedback from Galaxy Z Fold users on Zhihu. Many noted the app wasn’t fully taking advantage of the unique display. Samsung believes this update shows its commitment to enhancing popular apps for its foldable users. Zhihu stated it values user experience above all. Improving the reading experience for its large Galaxy Z Fold user base is a priority. Both companies confirmed the optimized Zhihu app experience will be available soon.
